Avengers Review

Avengers is a marvel movie which brings all of the characters from Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and so on together to make something that would be mind-blowing. It’s every little kid’s dreams to see all of their favourite characters together in one movie, but it also is loved by teenagers and many other people from different age groups. The movie genre was based around action and adventure which brought these people together to stop world domination from happening. The film included a load of stunts and made the unrealistic things such as aliens to look more real than ever. The angles that were shot were continuously upheld as the movie continues to amaze us all with strength, comedy and bravery. The movie fulfilled what everyone wanted to see; all of them working together. The idea to merge all of the characters is pure genius which must have made a big profit. It was unexpected that this movie would be made but it was made possible. Thor enters the movie soon after the others and tries to retrieve his brother to take back. That moment must have made everyone’s eyes go wide and their jaws dropping from the sudden shock of the entrance, which is how epic the film was – every second was worth watching.

Divergent Review

Divergent is a movie which is based on the book which was written by Veronica Roth. The movie captures the books details as is goes through Beatrice’s perspective and experience in the five factions which each represent a person’s characteristics. The film is packed with various stunts and heart-warming moments which widens the target audience: romance and adventure. The thing about this particular movie is that you barely see any intimate moments between any of the characters which can connote a sort of coldness between them. This coldness has been able to build as the movie builds from the experiences Beatrice and the other characters around her have gone through from sitting at a family table eating a meal to holding a gun and defending herself. Beatrice goes through the changing of factions and ends up in a brutal one. This change taught her bravery and strength as much as confidence which can reflect upon the audience giving them each a message that life can change only if you take the risks; many people can get different messages from the movie depending on how they see it but Tris, as she then called herself wanted to change her life, so she leaped and took risks. The word ‘Divergent’ means that a person doesn’t only have one faction in their characteristics but is all-inclusive which many saw as dangerous which is what this movie is about. It’s a phenomenal storyline that should catch us all.

Match an action editing
This is an editing technique for continuity editing in which one shot cuts to another shot portraying the action of the subject in first shot.

It gives us the impression that it's the same thing rather than having two separate things. It is usually always used in TV shows and movies.

The 180 degree rule
It's a filming guideline that the participants or actors in the scene should always have the same left-right relationship to each other with filming only taking part in a 180 degree angle. An example of this could be during a conversation between two characters.
